Congratulations to chosen $1500 scholarship recipients, Daniel Steck and Kristin D’Silva who were recently chosen by members of the Methodist Stone Oak Advisory Panel.
Daniel plans to attend Texas A&M University as a pre-med student and major in biomedical engineering. “By combining my passions of medicine, engineering and service, I can see my future role as both a medical researcher and a practicing interventional cardiologist,” Daniel wrote in his essay.
Kristin plans to study psychology at Cornell University with career plans in the area of psychiatry. “I hope that I will one day be able to serve the Stone Oak community in a health-related field,”Kristin stated after learning she’d been selected to receive the scholarship.
Both Kristin and Daniel are ranked at the top of their graduating class with 100 averages. Both have volunteered in the community and demonstrated strong leadership skills.
Congratulations on your journey towards your chosen health care careers. Methodist Healthcare’s mission is “Serving Humanity to Honor God.” We hope that Daniel and Kristin make it their mission to help the community in their chosen careers.
Sincerely,
Dean M. Alexander
